The following BrighterCopywriter.com blog entry is an example of grass roots, Search Engine Optimization 101. I purchased the domain CarRentalATL.com and have it parked at SEOParking.com. Of course I submitted to Google's Submit URL Listing service. But, I needed something more. Something that would hit Google and every one of the Car Rental companies right between the eyes. So, I did an investigation to see which companies were the best priced. This is an easy, SEO-friendly project that took less than an hour. All in HTML, ripe with keywords, and actually relevant to the visitor, makes this a must-do for these types of websites if you hope to earn back your Registration Fee through Cost Per Click (CPC) Advertising Revenue.

On 3/29/09 I received price quotes from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty car rental companies on site at ATL (Atlanta Hartsfield Airport) (Atlanta Hartsfield Airport) for you to see which companies in an apples to apples comparison has the lowest rates. In all instances (except with Hertz) the car is a Chevy Aveo (a Subcompact car). Hertz offered Fords subcompact, the Ford Focus. In all cases, the least expensive vehicle to rent is the one quoted.

The findings were as follows:

Average cost to rent the least expensive car available for 4 days and picking up & dropping off from ATL (Atlanta Hartsfield Airport): $358.87.

Average cost to rent the least expensive car available for 4 days and picking up & dropping off from ATL (Atlanta Hartsfield Airport) when eliminating Hertz since they didn't offer the Chevy Aveo that all 7 other rental companies did: $349.70.
